Özet (EN)

This survey aims at defining the impact of utilization of face-to-face education model assisted with web-based education on student performance in terms of developing employment skills of students in vocational and technical high schools. It has been carried on those who participated in the ?Pilot Study for Development of Employment Skills Education? which were carried out in 2006 in Ankara within the scope of SVET Project. In this context, the population of the survey is a group of 200 last grade students in vocational and technical high schools who participated in the above mentioned pilot study. The experimental design of the survey has been formed utilizing pretest ? posttest control group model. In order to determine the experimental group and control group impartially, a ?Student Identification Survey? has been carried out and 42 students out of 200 with similar characteristics have been sampled according to the results of this survey. 21 students have been determined impartially between two groups. The sample of the survey has been formed by 42 students as 21 students in experimental group and 21 students in control group. In the survey, the concept of ?Entrepreneurship? has been studied utilizing the face-to-face education assisted with web-based education techniques in experimental group and utilizing only traditional instruction techniques in control group. The test developed for measuring student performance has been used as pretest and posttest. Statistical comparative studies based on the data obtained from this performance test have indicated that face-to-face education model assisted with web-based education is more effective than traditional face-to-face education model.
