Stabilization policy impact on income distribution: Analysis for selected countries

Abstract (EN)

This master's thesis aims to explore economic policy options towards combatting economic crises and economic recovery for alternative school of thought. Study explores the impact of alternative economic crises policies on income distribution in terms of measurement techniques explored under economic literature. Economic policy impact of economic crises policies on income distribution is extended towards the impact of taxation, public expenditure policy, internal and external debt, inflation and adopted trade regime with the given international experiences. The motivation behind analyzing economic crises policy options underlines that solely income recovery policies is not fulfilling the existing economic and social expectations of today's societies. Under the empirical analysis, using the panel analysis technique we test whether income distribution and unemployment are positively influenced by income recovery.
