Abstract (EN)

All societies transferred their excitement and cultural heritage to the next generations orally in the first civilizations, when writing was not yet known. Oral cultural products carried from word of mouth are the memory of a community and the sacred heritage of a people. Folk culture is the whole of living patterns that include important features of daily life, common sense, religion and traditions, and are produced and kept alive, aiming to be transferred to future generations verbally or in writing. In other words, folk culture is all the cultural products in a region. Although the Macedonian Yoruks coexist with societies of different religions, cultures and races, they have not forgotten their essence and preserved their language, religion, traditions and customs and continue to preserve their national identity. However, it has been observed that, unfortunately, some important elements of this culture are about to disappear as a result of modernization becoming widespread. Of course, we will not forget our traditions, customs and oral culture products, we should not forget that there will be traces of our tradition under every event we experience. These traces, which exist in respect and greetings, in sitting and standing at the table, and in the liveliness of cultural products, may weaken over time, but as long as we protect them and try to transfer them to writing, they will be preserved. When the source research is examined, there is no comprehensive scientific study on the folklore of the Macedonian Yoruk community. Therefore, our work aims to bring these forgotten cultural values to light by writing them down and to ensure that they are passed on for generations by keeping them alive. This study, which is a field research, was compiled using observation, interview and interview techniques during the field research and was later transcribed. Key Words: Yoruks, Macedonia, folk literature, culture, belief.
