Abstract (EN)
This study aims to determine the resilience and self-sabotage levels of the staff working in İstanbul fire department. In this context, the age, marital status, duration of work experience, education level, social status, income of the fire-fighter, and additionally the variables of the perception level that the job is difficult and the neccessity to be successful, were examined. This study was carried out on 350 fire-fighters working on the field and the datas gathered from " Short Resilience Scale" , "Self- Sabotage Scale" and "Personal Information Form" were used. The datas gathered from this study were analyzed by using SPSS for Windows 21.0. the T-Test and One-Way ANOVA Test were used in this study. In addition, datas were tested with Pearson Correlation and Regression Analysis. Considering the findings obtained in this study, it is seen that there are not remarkable differences between the demographic knowledge and self-sabotage of the fire-fighters, and again there are not remarkable differences between the resilience and demographic knowledge of the fire-fighters.Statitistically, a meaningful relationship between the resilience and self-sabotage of the fire-fighters was found. At the end of this study, the findings obtanied were discussed, interpreted and some suggestions were made for the future studies. Keywords: Fire-fighters, Resilience, Self-sabotage
