The example of Selma Riza in the framework of women's perception in the union and progress society

The Committee of Union and Progress, both within the Republic of Turkey's Ottoman history and history often emerges as a study area and discussed the political aspects of formation. However, this community has a very strong intellectual foundation as well as a structure that changes the course of our political history. In general, the community approaching the social problems in particular within the framework of this sound idea structure, in which the women have a problem, emphasized that women should be more involved in social life at every opportunity. The members of the association showed how sincere they were in their statements with the works they published, the support they gave to the women's associations and the works they carried out in order to increase the female workers. In this study which deals with Ahmet Rıza Bey's, leader of the Committee of Union and Progress, his sister Selma Rıza Hanım's struggle in the direction of women's perception of society. The position of women in the thought structure of the period and especially the studies carried out in the Ottoman Empire under the administration of the Party of Union and Progress Party were evaluated with concrete examples.
