The investigation into unemployment and career anxiety of vocational and technical high school students in i̇zmir via Structural Equality Model

The aim of this thesis study is to investigate into the factors of demographic, socio-econimic and familiar which effect unemployment and career anxiety of vocational and technical high school students via structural equality model. The sample of the study was specified from vocational and technical high school students in İzmir during the academic year 2018-2019 via convenience sampling method. It was included 10 vocational and anatolian high school in this study from different districts for the purpose of being represented all of the districts in İzmir. The data collection was made through survey. The survey which is applied to the investigation was prepared by taking advantage of the literature knowledge by the investigator. The surveys were arranged in the form of optical were applied to 2300 students. The data were evaluated by using of exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis and path analysis and the model which was formed with independent variables aimed at unemploymented career anxiety was tested. According to the obtained research findings, it was seen that the formed model produces admissable adaptive values. The obtained findings showed that the primary factors which increases unemployment and career anxiety of vocational and technical high school students are school pleasure and education quality. The other factors which effect on unemployment anxiety are students' school, age, class, departure of education and whether his father is alive or not. At the same time; students' age, the average monthly income of the family and the father's educational and job status effect on career anxiety. We suppose that these findings which were put forward on vocational and technical education students can be used for the development of educational policies and ameliorations for decreasing the young people with anxiety.
