The Kasap Hızır district Of İzmir

İzmir, which is strikes us as an amportant settlement in terms of its Aegean geographical location, began turning into a significant economic centre in its region during the mid 17 century. Economic development has caused the city to grow in a disorganized manner and with a lack of proper planning and has further caused physical transformations. The main subject of our study, will be the Kasap Hızır neighbourhood which has managed to grow and develop in a fashion which is unknown to us. This study, in a way, examines changes occurring in large cities and their effects to their smallest units, neighbourhoods.Because our aim is to designate the borders of the Kasap Hızır neighbourhood, our study will focus on the examination of religious and civilian architectural structures and a great portion of religious and civilian architectural structures and a great portion of our study is dedicated to the analysis of structures within the neighbourhood. Within these analyses of İzmir and thus the neighbourhood, the railroad which has had effects an the 1922 fire will be looked into alog with the Yeni Gün and the Akdeniz Neighbourhoods which was a art of Kasap Hızır Neighbourhood.
