Özet (EN)

The aim of this research conducted in the experimental farm of the Department of Field Crops of Cukurova University was to determine the effects of organic (vermicompost and chicken manure) and inorganic (15:15:15 N-P-K) fertilizer applications on yield and quality parameters of İzmir thyme (Origanum onites L.). As a result of different applications made in the research, the average plant height values are 29.06-32.5 cm with the highest value obtained from NPK application, the average yield is 105.27-164.99 kg/da with the highest obtained from vermicompost application. Moreover, the average values for drug herb yield, drug leaf yield, drug leaf ratio, and essential/volatile oil yield are 51.94-81.11kg/da, 34.58-58.33 kg/da, 66.46-71.8 kg/da and 38.52-64.2 l/da respectively and were obtained from the highest chicken manure application while the average volatile oil ratio was % 3.6-3.4 and obtained from highest vermicompost application. Among the essential oil components, carvacrol was found to be the component with the highest rate and ranged from 74.12% to 81.68%. The highest drug herb yield and drug leaf yield were obtained from the chicken manure application, while the lowest was obtained from the control application. Key Words: Origanum onites, organic fertilizer, yield, carvacrol
