In this study; organochlorine pesticide levels (OCP) in Black Mussel Mytilus galloprovincialis which were found in Izmir Bay were investigated.During the present study, mussels that were collected at stations in Izmir Bay were examined to determine the level of organochlorine pesticide together with physicochemical parameters (temperature, conductivity, salinity, pH, dissolved oxygen, total suspended solids) and nutrients (phosphate, nitrate, nitrite, ammonium, silicate) taken at the same stations. Cluster and MDS (Multidimensional scaling) analysis were used for elucidate similarities and/or dissimilarities of organochlorine pesticide levels and to show spatio-temporal differences and driving forces of environmental parameters by using PCA (Principal Components Analysis).According to result of the investigation; only little amount of organochlorine pesticide levels were stabilized in Mytilus galloprovincialis and it is not in dangerous condition for human health by now.
