This thesis is written to define the place of Jacques Lacan in History of Philosophy. Lacan asserts very important ideas about language and unconscious. In addition, Lacan struggles to locate the Psychoanalysis as a science. According to Lacan; pschoanalysis is the science of unconscious. Also, there is a relation between unconscious and language. Lacan asserts that unconscious structured like a language. So, language is the condition of the existence of unconscious. At the same time, language makes the subject to exist. ?The Mirror Stage? is very important in the existence of subject. The subject enters to ?Symbolic Order? by supposing his image ?I? in the mirror. There is a separation between ?The Real? and ?The Signifier?. According to Lacan; ?The Real? is never explained.
