Abstract (EN)

The Generation Theory foresee that there might be some differences in the organizational commitment, job satisfaction and the intention to leave of the generation X and Y because of the different characteristics of them. The main objective of this study is the investigating of the differences in behaviours of the organizational commitment, job satisfaction and the intention to leave of generations X and Y tax officers working in Istanbul province. In this study, 210 questionaries out of 250 is evaluated from the Tax Department Bayrampaşa in İstanbul Provinance. Correlation, regression and multivariate regression analyzes were performed. Accordding to analysis, there is no statistically significant difference between organizational commitment and job satisfaction relationship in different generations, on the other hand it is founda that there is a difference regarding intention to leave the job in respect to generations (generation X and Y) . There are many studies related to organizational commitment, job satisfaction and intention to leave in the related literature, but there is limited study investigating this relations according to X and Y generations. Especially, there is no study in this subject which analyze the tax officers from the public sector, In this respect this research is important.
