Abstract (EN)
In this research, geological maps were examined in general and evaluations were made in terms of cartographic production. The aim of this study is to examine some colors, signs and symbols on the geological maps prepared by geoscientists from a cartographic point of view, to make them more understandable and to provide resources to institutions and organizations that will work in this field. Geological maps and sections have an important place among earth science studies. The reason for this is that the geological structure of the upper surface and the bottom of the land can be shown in the clear and simplest form in the form of geological maps or sections. Geological maps are a very important reference source in terms of seeing the geological features and underground resources of our country as a whole and using them in future projects. The subject weights and details contained in the map may vary according to each other, but whether it is about general geological studies, about underground resources or engineering geology, etc. it is important that the preparation and interpretation of the maps are done in an accurate and understandable way.
