Abstract (EN)
This study questions the relationship between the epistemologies and philosophies of language of John Locke and David Hume. In this framework, first, John Locke's epistemology, the components of his epistemology, and his philosophy of language were questioned. Also, Hume's views on language and his epistemology were analyzed, including his arguments related to the problems of induction and causality. At the end of the study, it is demonstrated that these philosophers tried to develop an understanding of language and a theory of meaning that would support an empiricist epistemology. Keywords: John Locke, David Hume, epistemology, philosophy of language.
