Abstract (EN)
Juglans regia L. is a plant, which has been used widely among hipercholesterolemic patients recently, and different parts of it have been used for wide range of diseases in folk medicine from the past to the present.Several studies expressed its antioxidant, antidiabetic, antihipercholesterolemic, antifungal, antibacterial and sedative effects. In particular, related studies on the plant containing polyphenolics and yuglon were reviewed and reflected in this study.Besides, pharmacopeial studies were established on the materials that were collected from nature and bought from market. Some comments on the products offered for sale on internet for their labelling and usage informations were also discussed.
