Abstract (EN)

The purpose of thesis is to enquire about the circumstances of optimum flotation in seperation of potash feldspar and quartz. The two different feldspar ore have been taken from boundaries in the distrct of Manisa, Demirci that belongs to Kalemaden A.Ş.. the physical, chemical and mineralogic specification of these two ores heve been described in detail and the enrichment process of feldspar ore with flotation without hydrofluoric acid have been researched. At the result of mineralogic research of feldspar; orthoclase, plagioklas, quartz, tourmaline, mica (muscovite) minerals. The chemical composition of feldspar ores used at experiment are here; F1 % 74,39 SiO2, % 15,50 Al2O3, % 0,04 TiO2, %0,40 Fe2O3, %0,81 CaO, % 0,04 MgO, % 4,27 Na2O, % 3,98 K2O ; F2 % 72,99 SiO2, % 16,12 Al2O3, % 0,06 TiO2, % 0,38 Fe2O3, % 0,85 CaO, % 0,01 MgO, % 6,13 Na2O, % 2,42 K2O. Flotation experiment hve been realized in two steps and three concentrations have been got. These are mica and heavy minerals concentration, feldspar concentration ond quartz concentration. In flotation experiments it is investigated how grain size, collector type and quantity, pH and froth taking time affect concentration recovery. In this experiment result, it is stated that, from Demirci distrct feldspar, it can be produced high recovery. Feldspar concentration and quartz concentration with the process of flotation without hydrofluoric acid. Key Words: Orthoclase, Feldspar, Quartz, Hydrofluoric Acid, Flotation
