Abstract (EN)

The first chapter of this thesis, which consists of four chapters, was handled as an introduction and a literature summary was made. The second chapter consists of the definition of the Rough Set, its properties and the theorems, the classification of the Rough Set, approximate membership function and the integrity measure in Rough Sets and an example which shows the computation of these values. In the third chapter, the definition of the Local Rough Set, the theorems and the proofs of the local rough sets, the classification of the local rough sets and the characteristics of the local rough sets are discussed by giving an example which shows the computation of the approximate membership function and the integrity measure values and their comparison with the rough sets. In addition, positive and negative region definitions of a local rough set mentioned in this section, proofs of some local rough set theorems, classification of local rough sets constitute the original parts of this thesis. In the fourth and last chapter, the examination and the comparison of the data that reveals the reasons of social media addiction among the secondary school students with the Rough and Local Rough Set models which is also the original part of this thesis.
