Abstract (EN)
The rebellion of Kabakcı Mustafa is considered as one of the most important events that affected deeply Ottoman Empire. It is diffucult to deny its importance because this rebellion caused Selim III to be killed and to lose his sovereign?s throne. Mean while, this revolt is crucial since it started the process of revolution in Ottoman Empire. Nizâm-ı Cedîd, established by Selim III is the most important cause of Kabakcı Mustafa?s riot. This revolution in Ottoman State caused janissaries to irritate. The janissaries with their vanguard, Kabakcı, rebelled in ?stanbul and this riot gave rise to Nizâm-ı Cedîd to be abolished. At the same time, these soldiers (janissaries) finished Sultan Selim?s sovereign?s throne. When Ruscuk Delegation, Alemdar Mustafa Pasha, came to ?stanbul in order to help Selim III be Sultan, janissaries killed Sultan. After being killed of Sultan Selim, Alemdar Mustafa Pasha caused Sultan Mustafa IV to lose his sovereign?s throne and provided Mahmud II to get throne. This process of negative events in the dissolving term of Ottoman Empire brought about Ottoman State to stop improvement. So that, this case didn?t enable to continue reforms and new improvements. Thus, many new diffuculties and problems appeared. In order to continue the orderly revolution movements, it was necessary to wait the abolishing of janissary army by Mahmud II.
