THE INVESTIGATION OF THE CABOTAGE LINE SEA TRANSPORT AND THEDETERMINATION OF THE OPTIMUM SHIP TYPEBekir ŞENERABSTRACTTurkey is a country surrounding by sea from three sides, that means, Turkey lives togethersea. %40 of the cities have shore to the sea. Lengths of the shores are; Anatolian shore is6480km, Thracian shore is 786km and Adalar shore is 106km, in total 8333km.Although this free waterway, its advantages are not used effectively. The portion of seaway inpassenger and vehicle transportation in inland cabotage waterways has a very small worthwith a percentage %3.In this work will be generally mentioned passenger and vehicle transportation by seaway allover the Turkey. In addition will be handled Marmara zone and Istanbul which has the biggestproportion at the total worth of passenger and vehicle sea transportation and examinedEskihisar-Topçular line in detail, where the worth of transportation is highest.
