Abstract (EN)

The objective of the study is to analyse the natural potential of Kachkar Basin in terms of outdoor sports tourism and trekking.The resource persons of the study are 6 elite mountain and trekking guides working actively in the area in 2008-2009 summer season.20 cases from the resource persons were chosen and studied. In the study, interviews were conducted in person as a method.In the study, field survey method(survey and case study) -of the description methods- was used.The information gathered through primary surveys was gone through by using case study method. Each case was taken as a track and assessed accordingly.In the assessment, track names,general introduction of the tracks,routes drawn on the aerial photographs,and the preferences of the samples for variables related to each case were included. The preferences of the resource persons related to the track while in practice, their activities and the differences of variables were determined as well.Trekking tracks were determined through the study, and also the number of the tracks and the routes and ?also- what the variables (safety, landscape, hardship, campgrounds etc.)existing on the routes were were found out. Also, the information related to terrain conditions on the route has been transformed into standard information. With the help of the findings obtained,the morphological structures of the routes were shown.
