SUMMARY PhD Thesis THE EFFECTS OF CADMIUM, LEAD AND COPPER IONS ON THE GOWTH KINETICS OF R. arrhizus AND THEIR ADSORPTION GülşadUSLU Fırat University Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences Department of Environmental Engineering 1999, page : 235 In this study, the effect of several parameters such as initial pH, temperature, initial metal ion concentration and initial sucrose concentration on the growth of R. arrhizus were investigated in the growth media containing cadmium, lead and copper together or individually in stirred reactor working batch system.. In the growth media containing cadmium, lead and copper ions individually optimum pH value were found to be 3,5, 4,0, 4,5 respectively, in batch stirred reactor. In the conditions containing these metal ions individually the optimum temperatures were found to be 30 °C, 25 °C and 30 °C. In the conditions which these metal ions exist together, the optimum temperature was found to be 30 °C. In the growth media containing the meial ions individually the initial metal ion concentrations were taken 50 mg/L and in the growth media same where metal ion concentrations were in equal amounts initial metal ion concentrations were taken X0= 10 mg/L In the conditions containinig cadmium, lead and copper ions individually and together, sucrose concentration was found to be SKeyword: Adsorpsiyon = Adsorption ; Ağır metaller = Heavy metals ; Bakır = Copper ; Kadmiyum = Cadmium ; Kurşun = Lead ; Üreme kinetiği = Reproduction kinetics
