Özet (EN)

In the presented study, the effects of different concentrations of cadmium (0.05, 0.1, 0.5, 1.0 mg / ml) and cadmium + vitamin E mixtures (125 µL, 250 µL, 500 µL, 1000 µL) on the protein and glycogen amounts synthesized by Galleria mellonella (SOD) and catalase (CAT) activities were investigated. In Galleria mellonella larvae, when Cd is used alone, there is no significant difference in the amount of protein, while vitamin E is applied together with Cd, a decrease in the amount of protein. The amount of glycogen has decreased in increasing concentrations of Cd and Cd + vitamin E. While CAT and SOD activities decreased in increasing concentrations of Cd, when vitamin E was applied with Cd, a decrease in 0.1% and 1.0% mg / ml concentrations in CAT activity was observed, while no significant difference was observed in SOD activity compared to control. According to the results obtained, it has been observed that increasing concentrations of cadmium negatively affect the biological parameters of Galleria mellonella larvae, and the addition of vitamin E does not reduce the toxic effect of cadmium.
