Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between the leadership behaviors of female school principals and the organizational cynicism attitudes of teachers according to the perceptions of teachers working throughout the province of Ankara in the 2020-2021 academic year. In the research, descriptive research was conducted in the relational scanning model. 384 teachers working with female school principals participated in the research. Personal Information Form, Leadership Style Behavior Scale (LTBS) and Organizational Cynicism Scale for Teachers (TSS) were used in the questionnaire used to collect the data of the study. The 22.0 version of the SPSS for windows program was used for the analysis of the data. In the normality analysis test, it was determined that the distribution was normal according to the skewness and kurtosis values. For the resolution of sub-problems, mean (X̅), frequency (f), standard deviation (Ss), percent (%), T-test for independent sample groups, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient (r) and multiple linear regression analysis was performed. The level of significance in the results of all analyzes was taken as p< .05. When the findings of the study were evaluated, it was determined that female school principals had a high level of interactional leadership and a low level of autocratic leadership according to the perceptions of teachers. The leadership behavior of the female school principal does not differ significantly from the demographic variables of the teachers according to the gender variable. In the findings, teachers' organizational anger attitudes are at a low level. Teachers' organizational cynicism attitudes do not differ significantly according to gender and educational status. When the relationship between the leadership behavior of the female school principal and the organizational cynicism attitudes of the teachers is examined, the positive relationship between the autocratic leadership and the sub-dimensions of organizational cynicism; There is a negative relationship between democratic, liberating, interactionist and transformational leadership. The female school principal's leadership behavior explains 60% of the total variance in organizational cynicism attitudes. Autocratic leadership and transactional leadership significantly predict teachers' organizational cynicism.
