The analysis of the reasons of watching women reality programmes with respect to uses and gratifications theory

This research?s main aim is, to analiysis of the reasons of whatching women reality programmes with respect to uses and gratifications theory. For this research, a quastionnaire was applied by the women who wathces women reality programmes; this quastionnaire was applied in the most crowed 10 parishes of Eskişehir with 400 women. After these interviews, audiences? education, economic and civil status, etc were examined by handling uses and gratifications theory and researced that why the women watch reality programmes. For this research, scanning model and quastionnaire method were used.Recently it is pointed to most of the women watch these kinds of programmes. It is thought that, the target groups of these programmes are women. It is noticed that some of these kinds of programmes take their subjects from real life. In these search, these kinds of programmes called that ?women reality programmes? which contains real life, real emotions and real person. This search was made with the audiences of these kinds of programmes.The results of research shows that most of the women watch women reality programmes, they feel addicted to these programmes and they like these kinds of programmes.They pointed that they watch these kinds of programmes because they spend their spaire times, wasting times, to satisfaction of wondering feelings, to avoid of daily life pressure and to share experiences in this research. These metters are parts of the theory of uses and gratifications.
