Özet (EN)

The effects of violence on children can range from physical injuries to emotional and behavioral problems such as crying sickness, inward closure, self or neighborhood aggression, difficulty in controlling anger, difficulty in establishing relationships with peers, and poor educational success. In some cases, children may be the subject of violence as well as being a witness. Domestic violence in the world and our country is a serious social problem. Women's shelters as fighting against this problem are emerging as important institutions. Women's shelters are boarding social work organizations where women who are exposed to violence can stay with their children and receive reliable, psychological, social and legal support away from violence. In women's shelters, even if they can stay away from violence with their mothers, they may experience problems due to both the traumatic conditions they live in and the social life conditions. Social work has emerged as an important profession in the solution of these problems. There is a different intervention in the social welfare service of the women's shelter. Social work with group practice is one of these intervention methods.
