Özet (EN)
The effects of violence on children can range from physical injuries to emotional and behavioral problems such as crying sickness, inward closure, self or neighborhood aggression, difficulty in controlling anger, difficulty in establishing relationships with peers, and poor educational success. In some cases, children may be the subject of violence as well as being a witness. Domestic violence in the world and our country is a serious social problem. Women's shelters as fighting against this problem are emerging as important institutions. Women's shelters are boarding social work organizations where women who are exposed to violence can stay with their children and receive reliable, psychological, social and legal support away from violence. In women's shelters, even if they can stay away from violence with their mothers, they may experience problems due to both the traumatic conditions they live in and the social life conditions. Social work has emerged as an important profession in the solution of these problems. There is a different intervention in the social welfare service of the women's shelter. Social work with group practice is one of these intervention methods. In the literature, it seems that group work (mezzo) is more effective than individual interviews (micro) in working with children. The aim of this research is to raise awareness among children aged 7-11 years in primary and secondary school who are staying with their mothers in a women's shelter in Ankara to be able to establish social work with group practice, anger, good friendship, adaptation to collective life rules and self- is the provision of winnings. The session contents of the social work with group practice conducted are organized according to the purpose of the research. During the sessions, techniques of getting to know the effects of anger and anger, establishing good friendship relations, expressing oneself and collective life rules and playing, painting and role playing techniques were used. The exercise was conducted in seven sessions with six children aged 7-11 years. As a result of observations and interviews with the social work with group practice and after the implementation, it was seen that the children participating in the group process had an increase in their social skills and benefited from the group process.
