Investigation of aggression level and communication skills of female volleyball and football players

Abstract (EN)

Aim of this study was determine to aggression level and communication skills of female volleyball and football players and show the relation between aggression level and communication skills. 131 female athlete was considered as research sampling. Mean age of footbal players was 18.12±2.85 and mean age of volleyball players was 16.69±2.1. In order to obtain data research of the, "Evaluation Scale of Comminication Skills" developed by Korkut (1996) and "Aggession Scale" developed by Kiper (1984) were used. For statistical analiysis, SPSS 16.0 program , Mann Whitney U test was used for binary groups and Kruskall Wallis test , for multiple groups and Pearson test was used for correlation of variables. As a result, it was found that volleyball players had higher comminication skills than football players; and footbal players had higher point in destructive aggression subscale than volleyball players. Destructive aggression point decreased with age increase in football players, and increased education level decreased in volleyball players. Enterprising level increased while comminication skills increased; and passive aggression level increased while destructive aggression level increased in football players. Passive aggression level increased while destructive aggression level increased in volleyball players.
