Abstract (EN)

Biography is a genre that tells the lives of people from an objective point of view. The word has passed into the Turkish language from the French word "biographie". The people whose biography will be written are chosen from among the people whose life story is curious, who are curious about the society, and who are known by everyone. The type of text that deals with the life of the person with impartiality is called biography, while the works in which the life of someone who has actually lived or lived, is discussed as fictional, is called biographical novel. In this study titled Biographical Novels and Woman in the Context of Subject-Object, it is aimed to examine the concept of biography, biographical novel and the novels in this field that center on we are women in the context of subject and generation. In line with these studies, the position of women in biographical novels was evaluated. While information about the biographical genre is given in the introduction part of the thesis, the concept of biographical novel is discussed in the second part. In the third part of the thesis, female characters in biographical novels are analyzed. The study was concluded with the conclusion and bibliography sections, in which a general evaluation of the examined novels was made.
