Abstract (EN)
Violence, while varying across societies, has persisted throughout history by transforming in its scope and nature, reaching the present day as a multifaceted phenomenon. From the dawn of human history, societal norms, power dynamics, and the struggle for survival have been at the root of violence. In the past, violence was often confined to private spheres and socially normalized; however, it has now become a significant public issue. Particularly disadvantaged groups, such as women and children, are directly impacted by violence, a reality that not only disrupts their lives but also leaves lasting imprints on future generations. It is an evident fact that failure to address violence against women and children will lead to social, economic, and cultural devastations in society. In the age of technology, digital platforms have expanded the scope of violence, enabling it to transcend boundaries and reach virtually anyone. This has made violence a pervasive issue, intruding even into the private lives of individuals in the most geographically distant locations. This study aims to define the concept of violence as a global issue and highlights efforts to prevent violence, focusing on the roles of institutions and organizations in this critical endeavor.
