Abstract (EN)
Architectural structures that are assessed the most important and special venues of human life include accumulation of hundreds years, social life experiences, traces on economical and technological developments of their periods. Therefore, those unique structures have historical accumulation; they provide information on where humanity comes from and what kind of changes lived and what kind of compositions will be exposed in future. Each geography, climate and culture set forts their special architectural understanding. In this thesis, which consists of seven chapters, the civil architecture of Kadınhanı was investigated. In the introductory part, the purpose and scope of the study is explained and the material and method which the thesis is formed is explained. In the second part, the traditional Turkish House is mentioned and in the third part, the general characteristics of Kadınhanı are mentioned. In the fourth section, the architectural features of the eight original houses in Kadınhanı are examined. In the fifth section, the samples that cannot be entered or whose technical measurements cannot be taken are given. In the sixth section, the architectural features of traditional Kadınhanı houses were evaluated in terms of plan, facade, decoration features, construction materials and techniques. In the seventh section, conclusions and recommendations are presented in the light of these evaluations.
