Abstract (EN)

With the excessive and uncontrolled use of technological tools, the problem of technology addiction has also emerged. Individuals, technological tool, internet, social networks, messaging, etc. The main indicators of technology addiction are the use of such applications as disrupting their personal, family, work and social lives, showing deprived symptoms when they cannot access them, and making intense efforts to obtain them. This type of addiction threatens the psychological and physiological health of individuals, as it brings with it a sedentary lifestyle. Exercise and physical activity are often and highly recommended in order to get away from the negative effects of technology addiction and to lead a healthy life. In particular, physical activity is considered extremely important for women who suffer from heart diseases more than men. The aim of this study, which was prepared in a quasi-experimental design, is to determine whether exercise has an effect on technology addiction and physical activity level in women. In this context, as a result of the research carried out with the participation of female students studying at Erzincan Binali Yıldırım University and staying at Erzincan Credit and Hostels Institution (KYK) in the spring semester of the 2021-2022 academic year; exercise and physical activity explained technology addiction, online game addiction and internet addiction, but exercise and physical activity did not explain technology, social network, instant messaging, online gaming, website addiction according to age group variable.
