Evaluation of human serum interleukin-10 level in repeated cases of miscarriage due to toxoplasmosis infection in women

Abstract (EN)
The main aim of this study is to examine the possibility of using serum levels of human interleukin-10 as a biomarker in the early diagnosis of toxoplasmosis, a potentially life-threatening infection that can cause recurrent miscarriages and from menopause to death. 60 patients with toxoplasmosis infection and 30 healthy controls were included in this study. While the mean age of the infected women was (29.4±6.75) years, the mean age of the controls was (23.20±4.89). When we compare the infected cases with body mass index (BMI), the mean BMI in positive cases was (24.813±1.788) and in negative cases it was (24.867±2.44). A very sensitive significance was found between positive and negative cases in terms of toxoplasmosis. The mean IL-10 in positive cases (23.80±6.14), negative cases (4.75±2.51), IgM levels in positive cases (26.913±6.100) and negative cases (1.40±0.744), IgG levels in positive cases (25.73±8.44), negative cases (2.40±1.053).
