Abstract (EN)
The purpose of this research; It is the examination of the relationships between perceived parental attitudes, beliefs of sexual myth and anxiety levels in women with and without vaginismus. Relationships between socio-demographic variables and dependent variables, which are addressed for this purpose, were examined. It has been investigated whether there is a difference in the level of dependent variables among the groups formed on the basis of socio-demographic variables, and whether the perceived parental attitudes and sexual myth beliefs and anxiety levels predicted each other. The research was carried out by relational screening method. The research sample were diagnosed in the territory of Istanbul vaginismus (122 people) and received (118 people) women (240 people) are included. To determine the perceived parental attitudes of the participants in order to validity and reliability study in Turkey Diriker et al (2004) made by 'Shortened Perceived Parental Attitude Scale' used, Zilbergeld for determination of Sexual Myth belief (1992) developed by 'Sexual Myths Assessment Scale' and the last as participants in order to determine the validity and reliability of anxiety in Turkey Ulusoy et al. (1998), "Beck Anxiety Inventory" was used. Descrıptıve and comparatıve statistıcal analysıs methods were used ın the research. The prepared questionnaire was subjected to reliability analysis in SPSS 22.0 for Windows packages program. Cronbach's Alpha methods was used to measures the relıability of the survey data used ın the research. According to the findings of the study, it was observed that anxiety states increased as the sexual myth beliefs increased in the relationship between perceived parental attitude, sexual myth beliefs and anxiety level in women diagnosed and not diagnosed with vaginismus. In addition, a positive and significant relationship was found between sexual myth beliefs and parental attitudes in women diagnosed with vaginismus. The presence of a positive and significant relationship between anxiety and parental attitudes was revealed in women with and without a diagnosis of vaginismus. Another finding obtained in the study was found that anxiety level increased as the belief in sexual myths increased in women who were not diagnosed with vaginismus. It has been determined that parental attitudes and sexual myths predict the level of anxiety in women with and without a diagnosis of vaginismus. The findings are discussed within the framework of the related literature.
