Abstract (EN)
Looking at the past and present of working life, research reveals the fact that the percentage of women in working life is low compared to men. Studies have also revealed that the number of women in managerial positions is low. In addition to these low rates, the low number of women in some sectors is even more striking. STEM fields come first among these fields. Studies show that the proportion of women working in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics, which are called STEM fields, is considerably lower than that of men. In this study, the barriers and opportunities experienced by women working in the field of information technology, which is one of the STEM fields, together with their gender beliefs, were examined.
