Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to try to make sense of the possibilities and limitations of women, who are constrained to the private sphere within the patriarchal system, in terms of the public sphere through the series of "Personality" chosen for the study, and to emphasize the visibility of these possibilities. In a society where the masculine thought system prevails, the masculine has a disposition over the feminine, parallel to the emergence of authority in the social structure. The existence of high walls in the separation of public / private sphere will continue with the imprisonment of the woman who is not aware of her identity or cannot be confined to the private sphere by the man who has a say on it. From this point of view, the study aims to determine how women are marginalized, pushed into the private sphere and imprisoned by the gender roles imposed by the masculine order, and which social perceptions and the way they are reflected in daily practices so that they do not exist in the public sphere. With the differentiation created in the spaces, the process of identifying the male and female genders with certain spaces has developed in relation to each other. In the study, the practices and results of the subaltern anti-women public's interaction with the common public sphere, which will be formed through new communication technologies, are tried to be criticized over the concept of public sphere, feminism and in short, postmodernity. In this context, the character of Nevra in the series Personality constitutes the sample of the thesis. The problems and experiences of a female character who was exposed to masculine discourse and behavior, underestimated because she chose the policing profession, and attracted attention, experienced in the public sphere, were tried to be analyzed by creating a general framework.
