Abstract (EN)
Honor culture is defined as the value of individual in terms of own and someone else while honor which is an important concept for our society is defined as "chastity and dependence of person to social value and ethics" in dictionary. According to the United Nations, discrimination against women restricts women's right and freedom on economic, social and cultural domains, and it is opposite to principle of equality, and is all kinds of deprivation and preclusion that is intentional towards sex. As for aggression at the workplace is a physical and psychological behavior which another employee is exposed by an employee or employees to harm which is inside and outside the organization to discourage. In this study, it is aimed to be examined relationship between women's honor perception and workplace aggression with discrimination against women at work. Research sample consist at 218 man and 116 women who work at two different public institutions in Denizli. In one sitting, participants filled in questionnaires that comprise of Women's Honor Perception Scale (WHPS), Workplace Aggression Scale, Buss-Perry Aggression Scale, Discrimination Towards the Work of Woman Scale, Discrimination Belief Towards the Working Women Scale and Discrimination Scale. According to obtained finding, it has been seen that workplace aggression has an mediatory role between honor definition factor of WHPS with work life of women and marital adjustment. Likewise, workplace aggression has a mediatory role between the factor of honor loss WHPS with work life of women and marital adjustment. It was observed that there is correlation among used scales. Themes and their subtitles were determined to be implemented content analysis to open-ended questions. Accordingly, it can be summarized that discrimination towards women at workplace is generally physical conditions of women. Works which are separated as women work-men work, and women to take more responsibility and discipline of women work to be less than men. According to the result of research, it can be told that traditional perspective and honor intellection towards women have been continuing, this case brings about discrimination against women at workplace, and workplace aggression increases this case.
