The Geological-petrographic and investigations of barite mineralization in Kahramanmaraş (Afşin-Göksun-Kavşut-Kömürköy ve ağboyun area)

In this work, the region were investigated geologicaly and minerolicaly and also barit mineralization aspect. Among the unite above the Kaletepe Formation are beyong the studied area. However Ahmetçik formation is in the studied area and itis Miocene in age. Lead, Zinc and barite mineralizations belonging to primary and secondary sulphur phase and cropping in Engizek carbonate platform take place in Malatya metamorphres which are irregular bedded and cracks, fractures, fault zones, karstic and melting cauitres.
