Throughout history one of the most important aspects of an independent state was undoubtedly the right to print money. Therefore, in order to maintain trade in antiquity, having precious metals and printing money from various metals was of the main objectives of the states. The aim of this thesis is to present the Byzantine coins belonging to the Kahramanmaraş Archaeological Museum. Hence, 2,500 Byzantine coins that belong to the Kahramanmaraş Archaeology Museum were studies. These coins were made of gold, silver, bronze and they were dated chronologically. Almost all of the coins were added to the museum collection through purchasing. Apart from purchasing, museum also acquired some coins through gifts as well as restitution. Most of the studies coins were faded and therefore could not be read. There are also some highly corroded coins and the iconography on them could not be determined. In general, the coins in the museum were dated from the V. century to the VII century. An important part of the Byzantine coins in the museum is also consist of "Anonymous Folles". These folles in the museum were represented with group A2, B, C, D, G, I, İ and covering a hundred-year period (970-1072). In addition, along with the inventory number of the 1,599 coins in the catalogue, their acquired circumstance by the museum with arrival date as well as their weights and diameters were determined.
