Özet (EN)

Kahramanmaraş located in Adana zone is growing rapidly in Mediterrean region. While city population is increasing rapidly, city area is being grown. Because of the city's special condition, industrial area densed in plain which has streams. Streams considered as a tool domestic and industrial waste, so this makes great pressure on the heavy water pollution. In addition, in and around the city the demand of the water has been increased. To get clean water and wastewater are essential issues. In this study, aimed to estimation the physicochemical characters (temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, electrical conductivity) of water and some heavy metals (iron, copper, zinc, chrome, cadmium, cobalt, nickel and lead) accumulation in wastewaters from some factories on water quality Sır Dam Lake and Aksu Stream (Kahramanmaraş). Four water samples were taken between July 2012 and April 2013 in seasonal periods at six different stations determined in various regions of Sır Dam Lake and Aksu Stream. The temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen and electrical conductivity the values of water in all stations have been determined between 15.22-16.9°C, 7.32-8.43, 5.05-8.42 mg / L and 535-627 μS / cm respectively. Fe, Cu and Zn from heavy metals measured in water were detected in all stations in all seasons, while Cr, Ni, Cd were determined only at stations 1, 2 and 3. The Ace and Hg measuring instruments were not detected in any station since they were under the sensitivity.
