Quality control applications and a sample study (On apparel industry )

Due to its contribution to the economy of Turkey, it is much more understood every past day that The Apparel Industry should give the quality fact forward to adapt itself for the global competition in the world. Having quality control applications at all process of production makes the companies? lives longer and contributes to the quality of the company to be higher.This research has been done to investigate the quality control applications, to explain statistical control methods and problem-solving techniques, to develop suggestions regarding to the solutions of the problems and to spread the improvement studies in the apparel ındustry.The clothes are produced made of woven fabric in the apparel ındustry are the cosmos of this research. The styles of clothes consist of man?s trousers, man?s trouser suit, sports jacket, work suit, battle of trousers, battle of jacket, work trousers made of woven fabric in the apparel company are the exemplar. In this research, the Field Research method has been used and a Case Study has been done.The data that has been collected after using the working instructions and quality control forms prepared by the researcher have been used in this research. The data has been subjected to a statistical analysis and some tables and diagrams showing the dispersion of errors have been formed. It has been understood from the data received that in the company, the most of the errors resulted from the work in the sewing section. By using some Cause-Result analyses and Brain Storm technique, it has been determined that the real reason of sewing errors has resulted from the variation of the workers in the sewing section.A study regarding to minimize the errors has been completed and a training model is formed. The training model could be applied in two types, as a Work Training and as Quality Trainings. It has been pointed out that the stages of planning, practice, evaluation and classification should be completed to be able to realize the work training.
