Abstract (EN)

Today, one of the most important problems that countries face is their inefficiency in providing employment increase. In the economic theory, one of the ways to increase employment demand is to forward it into a stable growth trend. At this point, the factors which provide growth gain importance. however, when world economy is researched, in spite of high growth rates, employment doesnt increase. this subject causes debates between growth and employment relationship. The relation between growth and employment which gains a new dimension is highly crucial for the Turkish economy. Despite the high growth rate which occurs from time to time in Turkey, employment hasnt increased, even in some periods unemployment has increased against the economic growth. As a result of declining of employment, the increase in the number of unemployed people has turned social equilibriums upside down and has caused chaos. Because of the fact that economic growth doesnt create employment, wealth decreases and economic development connot be put forward to a next stage.
