Abstract (EN)
Women's employment has a very important place as one of the indicators of the level of development of the countries. Especially after the Industrial Revolution, as women are employed in almost every sector, it has become very important to identify the problems encountered by women in the working life and to present the solution proposals by making necessary arrangements. Women have begun to participate in working life on equal terms with men, in the historical process. However women employees are faced with many difficulties nowadays, as in the past, despite their rising position in working life. Women employees have to deal with the problems such as; gender-based discrimination, sexual harassment, psychological harassment, informal employment, being excluded from social security rights, working under unfavorable conditions of occupational health and safety, job dissatisfaction, role conflict, child care and increasing household chores in working and family life. The purpose of this study will be to identify the problems faced by working women in the primary regions of development and to examine the more intensive sectors of women in Elazığ. Elazig province is a province where industrial activities developed in recent years and it is an important province in terms of economy and development within its region. In recent years, the industrial activities of Elazığ, which was based on agriculture and animal husbandry in the past, started to increase and this situation increased the employment rates in the province.
