Abstract (EN)
Phthalocyanines are generally blue, green, high temperature, light-stable compounds that are chemically stable but have very low solubility. Therefore, it is important to obtain products with high solubility in the synthesis of phthalocyanine. In this thesis, a method for the synthesis of some chalcone derivatives is defined. Initially, the 4-hydroxy benzaldehyde as the starting material for the synthesis of the target molecules was provided as a commercially available material. In this work, 4- (benzyloxy)benzaldehyde (1) derivative with K2CO3 was synthesized using 4-hydroxy benzaldehyde and benzyl chloride starting compounds. These compounds were treated with 4-hydroxyacetophenone and SOCl2 to produce the compound (3) derivative using the compound (2) and the 4-nitrophthalonitrile compound. From this synthesized novel phthalonitrile derivative, the targeted metallo phthalocyanine was synthesized using DBU with Zn(OAc)2.2H2O and Co(OAc)2.4H2O (4a and 4b) under suitable conditions. The structures of all compounds obtained were determined by FT-IR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, UV-Vis and MALDİ-TOF spectral data.
