Abstract (EN)
Objectives: The aim of this study is to determine the factors that effect survival after heart transplantation. Methods: Total of 74 patients that underwent heart transplantation in our center between 2007 February and 2011 July were included. Data of the patients that includes age, gender, etiology, comorbidities, donor properties, preoperative hemodynamic values, biochemical laboratuary values, rejection rate, surgical and medical complication rate was retrospectively examined. The effects of these factors on 30-day and 1-year mortality were analysed using univariate and multivariate statistical methods. Results: Need of inotropic support of both recipient and donor (p:0,003 and p: 0,003 respectively), preoperative renal dysfunction (p: 0,007) and heamorrhage that required second-look (p:0,046) were found statistically related with 30-day mortality. The factors that are related with 1-year mortality were preoperative renal dysfunction (p:0,036), liver dysfunction in the early period (p:0,047), high dose inotropic support need ( defined as adrenaline dose equal to/over 0,5mcg/kg/min for minimum 6 hours) (p:0,029) and postoperative renal failure (p:0,029). Conclusions: Preoperative condition and comorbidities effects early and late survival rates after heart transplantation.
