Abstract (EN)
It has become a necessity today to consider acting in the context of cinema and television and to re-determine its rules which have been developed on the axis of theater since the emergence of cinema. Higher education institutions in Turkey that provide acting education do not make the distinction between acting as mentioned above, but implement a program that prioritizes theater acting. For this reason, graduating actor candidates face various difficulties in terms of acting expectations in the cinema and TV series industry. Hence, the problem of this study is that there is no specialization program for camera acting in these educational institutions and there is a gap in this regard. The aim of this research is to determine the Camera Acting (Cinema-TV) competencies that can form the basis for a master's degree program that can be opened in Turkey on cinema and television acting, and to prepare a curriculum proposal to be put into practice in this regard. The basic interpretive qualitative research design was used in this research. The study group of the research consisted of forty-two participants who are experts in their fields (theater-cinema-television). The participants' opinions about theater and cinema-TV acting training were collected with a semi-structured interview form consisting of seven questions prepared separately for each group. Descriptive analysis technique was used in the data analysis process. The study group was formed using the snowball sampling technique to serve the purpose of the study. In line with the opinions of the working group, general competencies and field competencies; the knowledge, skills and competencies that camera actors should have; the disciplines that the camera actor can interact with; and the courses that will be included in the curriculum and their contents have been determined for the master's program that can be opened in the field of Camera acting (Cinema-TV). In the last part of the study, a draft of the curriculum was created, and compulsory and elective courses were determined using the data obtained. In line with the results from the research, suggestions like the creation of innovative undergraduate programs in which acting is divided into two different fields as theater and cinema-television acting; inclusion of the departments opened for the education of cinema art within the fine arts faculties of universities; and considering them as a basic art field were put forward.
