Abstract (EN)

Personnel Department or Human Resources Department has a very important place in public institutions. People is even more important than capital. It is indispensable for public institutions. In addition to making manpower planning in public institutions, working on personnel policies and developing them, they have many duties in finding the right person for the job, placement, training, wages, leave, promotion and retirement. While performing these operations, various errors, problems and troubles are encountered. These errors will be tried to be evaluated from the perspective of Six Sigma in this study. In order to measure the effect of Six Sigma on personnel management in public institutions, qualitative research method was used in the face-to-face interviews with the personnel working in the Personnel Department staff of Uşak University. As a result of the research, the mistakes that individuals encounter individually are emphasized. The fact that they do not have any knowledge about Six Sigma reveals the importance of the research. Our aim in this study is to reach zero errors by trying to reduce the errors experienced in public institutions to the Six Sigma dimension.
