Abstract (EN)

In today's highly competitive environment, managers and businesses have to pay attention to the concept of communication. Because it is possible to achieve the objectives of the operator and to implement the management function correctly and in the desired manner, with a healthy communication system that operates regularly. In particular, managers should pay more attention to communication and motivation in order to increase their continuity and productivity in the competitive environment so that they can easily reach their businesses and their individual goals. In this study, it is aimed to measure the effects of communication skills in public institutions on employee motivation, how the level of communication of managers is perceived and the level of motivation of employees in the workplace. The universe of the research consists of 136 employees working in İSKİ Kadıköy Branch Office between January and June 2017 when the questionnaire was made. In this study, 130 questionnaires were distributed to the workers in ISKI Kadıköy Branch Directorate and 112 people participated in the survey. 8 questionnaires were invalid due to incorrect filling and 104 questionnaires were evaluated. The relationship between communication and motivational situations with variables such as age, educational status, income status, working time in the duty, working time in the institution variables were examined. According to the results of the t - test, it is reached in general that there is a high level of relationship between motivation and these variables, while there is a mid level relationship between the relationship between management and communication and these variables.
