Abstract (EN)
The purpose of this study is to investigate the existence of psychological bullying in public institutions and to investigate its effects on the individuals' commitment to the organization it's aimed to detect the organizational commitment levels of the personel working at IRS as a public institution. In addition, the attitudes of the participants in the survey are also stated in terms of organizational commitment types (normative, attendance, emotional depedence) as frequently stressed in the literature. The scope of this survey is the assorted IRS offices in Istanbul. Questionnaires have been filled by 319 individuals working in these offices and the findings were analysed statistically. The factor analysis was done with the compiled statements and in those exposed to psychological bullying, commitment types were identified. The relation between psychological bullying and commitment was extracted on the correlation matrix. It's indicated that there is a link between 3 commitment types and psychological bullying. It's investigated in the framework of the survey whether individuals' commitment to the institution and their being exposed to psychological bullying Show any difference considering the demographic features. The result have shown that the participant personel are showing commitment to their institutions. And it's concluded that this commitment is mostly a type of attendance commitment. So it's figured out that there is a significant relation between psychological bullying and organizational commitment. Keywords: Mobbing, Organizational Commitment, Public Institutions.
