Multi-study research of the perceptions of accountability in teachers working in private and public schools

Aim: Aim of this study is to determine accountability perception of teachers and administrators who work in private school and government schools. Method:. The population of the research consists of 3146 teachers and administrators who work in Fatih, Istanbul-Turkey (http://fatih.meb.gov.tr, Ağustos 2016) 2015-2016 teaching season. The sample population, which includes 202 teachers, 25 administrators and 51 head of department, 203 person of which work in government schools and 75 person of which work in private schools, was drawn via accidental sampling method. Data was obtained from the sample by the measurement scales of teachers' accountability perception working in Private and Government schools and analyzed by the methods of t-test, ANOVA, chi-square test with SPSS 21.0 program. Findings: Teachers' perceptions of transparency, which are the main pillars of our education system, differ according to sex, age, education level, and seniority. Since there is no transparency at the point where schools can realize what, at what level and at what level; The needs analysis is limited to the physical needs of the school in the majority. It is clear that this is a slowing effect for accountability. In the sense of accountability of the teachers working in the public and the teachers working in the private institutions, there was a difference according to school experience, parental information, academic process, applied courses and social justice dimensions according to gender, seniority, task in school. Conclusion: It is necessary to develop an online system in which the education system can detect problems locally, identify areas of development, and follow schools more concretely. The development of scales that will demonstrate the nature of the trainers 'work within the school will contribute to the teachers' unity in accountability.
