Methodological analysis of postgraduate theses on strategic planning in the field of public administration

The aim of this study is to examine postgraduate theses on strategic planning in the Turkish public administration science. For this purpose, 101 postgraduate studies were gathered and the relevant studies were analyzed using the document analysis technique, one of the qualitative research methods. In the analysis, the relevant theses were classified according to years, gender of researchers, university, type, advisor title, institute, department, study universe, method, and data collection tools. In the first chapter of the study, the development of public administration science in the world and in Turkey was examined. In the second chapter, the development of strategic planning in public administration science was emphasized. In the third chapter, the findings and discussion were given. Finally, the conclusions were made in the light of the findings in the fourth chapter.
