Özet (EN)

Blood centers are the most problematic areas of inventory management as antigenic variety of people causes diversity of products and product discordance problems. There stands different storage regimes, easily perishable products in improper conditions. Product utilization rates are strictly unestimated and stock levels handled for unpredictable conditions increases the risk of deterioration and destruction risk.Proposal and application of a process management system and database model of the software in this project is still in use in Blood Center of Dokuz Eylül Üniversity Hospital. Results collected on four year period of application is studied in aspects of business administration functions and advantages attained.Tangible and untangible benefits on usage of an electronic cross match procedure, in place of practical cross match test which is the last stage of the blood conformity tests, which shortens preparation period of blood is studied and results are presented. It is concluded that by means of volunteer donor database construction proper to make an e-match, in combination with communication technologies like short message services and call center structure which promotes blood donations of suitable people on need; the stocking, detoriation, destruction and nonexistence conditions? costs will be lowered. As well as the higher acquisition and stocking costs, the final sum of costs of health problems that can be experienced on nonexictence condition of a blood product could be equivalent to human life and it is beyond calculation, therefore the advantages provided by the proposed model is untangible.
