Abstract (EN)
Finned tube heat exchangers are used in air conditioning systems. When the heat exchanger outer surface temperature is below moist air dew point temperature, water vapor present in the moist air condenses on the surface. Therefore, simultaneously heat and the mass transfer happens. In this study, in the situation mentioned above heat transfer was studied experimentally. Experiments were done with three cooling coils having the different number of tube rows and circuit numbers. Under wet fin conditions, the effect of air inlet conditions, number of tube rows and number of circuits on the heat transfer and pressure drop characteristics, and change of condensed water mass flow rate with time were investigated.
